Windows and doors add curb appeal

The exterior of your home makes a lasting impression, to your neighborhood and your guests. You can instantly enhance curb appeal by replacing your windows and doors.

If you have older, damaged windows they may not function properly or may not be as energy efficient as they could be. In fact, they may be dangerous. If there is rot, cracks or broken frames your home is left vulnerable to storm damage and home invaders.

New windows are a functional update that can both help save on energy bills and increase a home’s curb appeal. Even updating a few windows at the front of the home can make a big difference even if your budget doesn’t allow updating every window in the house.

Your front door is often what people notice first about your home.  Doors offer the same energy efficiency benefits as windows, so they too should be in good working order. Changing your front entrance door is an easy way to make a dramatic change to the overall look of your home. Doors come in a variety of colors and are available in steel, wood, and fiberglass which mimics wood. There are many options for panel and glass door designs, grille patterns, sidelites, and transoms.

Your home’s interior can also be refreshed with new interior doors.  Barn doors and pocket doors are popular choices and come in many styles and are excellent for areas where you need to save space. Sliding doors and French doors can also be used to connect interior spaces, they allow natural light to pass though which gives a warm, open feel to a space.

Whether you’re getting ready to put your house on the market or if you just want to get the most out of your house, new windows and doors can help you increase the value of your home. So, give your house a new look while making it more energy efficient, safer and more enjoyable to live in.
